If you’re like me, it’s easy to look at where you are in life and wonder how you’ll ever get to where you want to be.
The distance can be so vast that it paralyzes us. I call this the gap trap.
The gap trap says... people give up when they fixate on how much further they have to go. Instead of focusing on what they can do today to get themselves one step closer to their goal, they let the distance overwhelm them.
My advice to any person who wants to accomplish something big is this: win small every day. Successful people get up, every day, and win small in some way or another. I don’t mean some days; I mean every day.
Now, here’s the big secret. Winning small isn’t that hard. Winning small is just taking one step in the right direction. Everyone can do that. The challenge is every day.
Can you overcome the gap trap and discipline yourself to consistently take that one small step?
I’m telling the truth. You don’t have to wonder if you’ll ever reach your goals one day. You can guarantee it by winning small every day.
