Profound Study

Men give me credit for some genius. All the genius I have lies in this; when I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly.
— Alexander Hamilton

I want to be less scattershot in my learning. Instead of reading wide on many subjects, I'd like to focus more deeply on fewer. Instead of scratching the surface of topics that catch my interest, I'd like to dive deep into subjects I really love.

Studying something "profoundly," or becoming an expert in something is one way to make ourselves more valuable to others. And who knows where that deep knowledge will take us?

Hamilton was an orphan from the West Indies who became a founding father of the American Experiment.
